Call the referral line
The phone is the right channel for this, and not because we are being old-fashioned about it. A roof leak needs two or three questions answered before anybody can be useful — is water moving right now, where are you, and what is it doing — and that is a thirty-second conversation rather than a form and a wait. If water is active, say so immediately. It changes the order of everything that follows.

Six things worth knowing before you dial
Nothing here is mandatory. Each item simply removes a question from the call, and together they give a contractor something to work from before they ever reach your driveway.
- Is it moving? Active water is routed differently from a stain that appeared last week. Lead with this one.
- Which room, and what surface. A ceiling, an interior wall and a light fitting each point at a different path through the structure.
- Which rain sets it off. Any rain, only the heavy storms, or only when the wind is up. This narrows the cause more than anything else you can say.
- Where you are. Address and nearest cross street, so the call reaches somebody who covers that side of the metro.
- The roof's history. Rough age, whether it has been repaired, and whether anyone has been up there since.
- Access. Storeys, pitch if you know it, and anything fixed to the roof such as solar panels or a satellite mount.
If water is coming in right now
Do these four things before or while you call. Get a container under the drip and move furniture and electronics clear. Switch off the circuit for that room at the breaker if water is anywhere near a light fitting, a fan or an outlet. If the ceiling is sagging or bulging, pierce it at the lowest point of the bulge so the water drains in one controlled place. And stay off the roof — a wet roof is how people get badly hurt, and there is nothing you can achieve up there in a storm.
Then call, and say plainly that it is active. That routes you to emergency roof leak repair, where the priority is stopping the intrusion rather than diagnosing it. If it has already stopped and you want the cause identified properly, roof leak detection is the better starting point, and the San Antonio roof leak guide has the full picture.
What is the fastest way to get help?
Call. A roof leak is a conversation, not a form — whoever answers needs to know whether water is moving right now, because that changes how the call is routed and what happens first.
What should I say when I call?
Your address, where the water is showing, when it started, and whether it is active right now. If you know roughly how old the roof is and whether it has been repaired before, mention that too.
Do you perform the roofing work?
No. We are a referral service. Calls are connected to independent licensed and insured roofing contractors serving San Antonio and the surrounding areas, and your agreement is with the contractor you hire.
